Mariola Marcet studied Industrial Technical Design at Valencia Polytechnic University. The last year of her degree was spent in Milan, at the Department of Civil Architecture of Bovisa, where she studied several modules of interior design.
On her return, she carried out the final project of her degree and had work experience at the offices of Andreu World. Shortly after her time there, she started work on the ‘Sevilla 27’ showroom, along with Julio Guixeres. Thanks to her Industrial Design degree she was shortlisted for the C-DIM awards 2000 and also took part in NUDE (a forum for new international designers at Feria Valencia) in 2005.
In 2006, Mariola began working for her current employer, the interior designer Carmen Baselga, and four years later in 2010 gained a further Interior Design degree from the School of Art and Design in Valencia. She has also attended several courses for Exterior Design, such as the first course of ‘Outdoor Design’ organized by Milan Polytechnic University, in addition to courses on shop window design.
Elvira Muñoz Santamans graduated with a degree in Architecture at Valencia Polytechnic University in 2008. From 2005 until she obtained her degree, she combined her studies with several projects in offices in Valencia.
She has attended many courses organized by the Head of Projects at the School of Architecture in Valencia, in addition to participating at various international congresses about Sustainable Architecture in Barcelona and Valencia. Furthermore, Elena has entered many competitions; she was a finalist in the XVIII edition of the Habitacola awards (Arq-Infad, Barcelona) and also obtained a mention in the Ideas Competition for the construction of a theatre in Benicarlo in 2006, together with Vicente Ribes.
Elvira is currently a freelance architect and is working with Vol2, an architectural workshop in Barcelona, on some of the studio’s projects. She is also one of the founders of the avanti avanti studio, which devotes itself to communications and Strategic Graphic.
